Instructions:

For the chocolate dough, first separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Beat the yolks with the sugar and vanilla sugar until thick and fluffy, then stir in the water and oil alternately. Mix flour with salt, cocoa, baking powder, chocolate drops and banana chips and fold in alternately with the beaten egg whites.

Line a baking tray with baking paper and spread the batter on it. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

For the curd banana mixture, first peel the banana, mash it with a fork to a fine pulp and immediately mix with lemon juice and vanilla sugar. Separate the eggs. Mix the curd, yolks and sugar thoroughly, then fold in the banana puree. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in carefully.

Pour the mixture into a piping bag with a large nozzle and pipe onto the chocolate dough in a grid pattern.

Place the tray in the hot oven and bake for about 30 minutes.

Let the quilt cake cool on the tray.
