For the chocolate ring cake, cream the butter with the sugar and the pinch of salt until fluffy. Add the eggs one by one and continue to mix.

Mix the flour, baking powder and cocoa and stir into the mixture alternately with the milk. Fold in the chopped chocolate.

Pour into a buttered and floured cake pan and bake the chocolate cake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for approx. 50 – 55 minutes.
