Instructions:

For the chocolate cake, first prepare the red hearts. For this, beat the eggs with sugar until foamy, stir in flour and red food coloring.

Spread the mixture on a baking tray and bake at 170 °C for about 20 minutes. Let cool and cut out the hearts for the cake with a heart cookie cutter.

For the dark chocolate mixture, mix sugar, vanilla sugar and the soft butter for about 3 minutes, then add one egg at a time. Stir in the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder.

Now place the hearts one after the other in a line in the loaf pan until the loaf pan is filled from front to back, then pour the chocolate mixture on top.

Make sure that the top of the hearts is completely covered with the mixture.
