A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Knead a smooth dough from butter, milk, flour, sugar, the pinch of salt as well as the yeast and let it rise for an hour with the lid closed.

Roll out the dough thinly and shape it into a coated cake springform pan (26 cm). Stand the edge three cm high. Preheat the stove.

For the filling, peel the apples and cut into small slices. Cut the dates into small strips. Put both in the cake tin and sprinkle the flaked almonds and 2 tsp sugar on top.

For the glaze, mix the yogurt with the 2 eggs, the vanilla sugar and the grated lemon zest and mold over the cake. Then bake at 180 °C for approx. 35-40 min. Decorate with cocoa powder and almond kernels.
