Cut the mushrooms into thin slices and fry them briefly in hot oil. Bring the clear soup to the boil in a two-liter saucepan, add the finely chopped cabbage and the clove of garlic. Add salt, white wine, pepper and thyme leaves. Just before serving, add the mushrooms to the soup. Do not let it bubble up any more!
