Doughnuts with Chocolate Filling

Instructions:

First, mix all ingredients in a bowl until the yeast. Add butter, milk and egg, mix, knead into a soft, smooth dough.

Cover and let rise for about an hour at room temperature.

Shape the dough into equal-sized balls. Press an indentation into each ball with your thumb. Press one chocolate ball into each hollow.

Brush the edge of the dough with very little egg white, press well together. Turn balls between hands until seal is barely visible.

Place this side down on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and let rise again for 45 minutes.

Heat the oil to approx. 180 °C. Place the doughnuts in batches, with the cap facing down, and fry for about 2 1/2 minutes, flip to the other side, finish baking for about 2 1/2 minutes.

Remove, drain on paper towels.

Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
