Try this delicious cake recipe:

Sift flour onto surface, spread cold butter evenly in flour. Press a bulge into the flour. Pour in sugar, salt and egg and quickly knead into dough mixture (add just enough water to keep dough from crumbling).

Put the dough to cool for 1 hour.

Brush the bottom of the cake pan (diameter 18 cm) with cold butter, sprinkle a little flour to prevent the dough from sticking.

Divide the dough into two halves, roll out one half and spread it on the bottom of the cake pan. It is important to form a high edge.

Rinse the plums, drain well, remove the seeds and collect the juice. Sprinkle with sugar. Cover the dough with plums.

Roll out the second dough, cut into 2 cm wide strips and place as a diamond lattice on top of the cake.

Bake the cake at 200 °C for about 45 minutes.

Just before the cake is ready, brush the dough with the prune juice and bake for another 2 to 3 min in the oven. Remove cake from the pan only when cooled.
