Instructions:

For the French toast with canary milk, first prepare the French toast. For this, whisk eggs with milk and sugar. Dip slices of toast or white bread into the egg milk.

Heat butter in a frying pan and toast bread on both sides until golden brown.

For the canary milk, slit the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the vanilla pulp.

Bring milk with vanilla bean, vanilla pulp and vanilla sugar to a boil Beat yolks with powdered sugar until thick and creamy. As soon as the milk begins to boil, remove saucepan from heat and remove vanilla bean.

Stir the yolk-sugar mixture into the hot milk and stir until a thick vanilla cream is formed. Once the yolk-sugar mixture has been stirred in, do not put the saucepan back on the stovetop or the yolks may curdle.

Arrange French toast with canary milk and serve.
