For the fried egg, melt the butter. Crack the egg and gently slide it into the pan. Fry briefly over high heat, then reduce the heat and fry the eggs until the yolks are nicely set but still creamy.

If you are in a hurry and don’t mind the eggs turning white on top, you can also cover the pan with a lid.

Only salt to taste at the end. Raw seasoned eggs will get unsightly white spots from the salt.
