To prepare the gingerbread tea light house, first cut out a template for the house wall and floor from baking paper.

For the gingerbread dough, heat the syrup with the sugar, vanillin sugar and butter, stirring until the ingredients have dissolved and allow to cool.

Mix flour with baking powder and sift into a mixing bowl. Add spice, nuts and syrup mixture and knead with hand mixer (dough hook) until smooth.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface to a thickness of approx. 3 mm. Cut out 21 house walls (14 side parts and 7 front parts) and 7 bottoms from the dough using templates. Place the dough pieces on baking sheets lined with baking paper.

Place one tray in the middle of the preheated oven.Top/bottom heat: 180 °Hot air: 160 °CBaking time: approx. 7 – 8 minutes

Repeat the baking process with the remaining gingerbread pieces. Decorate the cooled house walls as desired with sugar writing. Attach 3 house walls each to the base plates with sugar writing. If necessary, also spray some sugar writing into the corners of the houses. Let the gingerbread tea light houses dry for about 1 hour. Place a tea light behind the house facades.
