An asparagus recipe for gourmets:

Top each ham slice with a slice of cheese and two to three spears of asparagus, roll up and bread (like schnitzel). Fasten with twine etc. Fix in place and bake briefly in hot fat. The desired browning of the breading determines the cooking time.

Serve with rice salad, raw vegetable salad, pasta salad or a slice of toast. It can also be served without any side dish, as a spontaneous midnight meal at any kind of social gathering.
