For the herring salad, boil the potatoes in their skins and let cool. Peel and cut into slices.

Cut the herrings into bite-sized pieces. Peel and core apples, also cut into small pieces and marinate with a few drops of lemon juice.

Mix all ingredients together. Add more Soy Cuisine if necessary. Season with salt and sugar and let stand in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Before serving, sprinkle the herring salad with potatoes with the chopped dill.
