Instructions:

Prepare a dough from cow’s milk, yeast, sugar, salt and flour as for white bread. Pour the risen dough into baking bowl and knead in the remaining ingredients until the whole is neatly mixed.

Split dough in half and arrange so that it fits into two small neatly greased loaf pans. Cover and let rise.

Brush with cow’s milk and bake on a medium rack in an oven heated to 200 °C (gas mark 3) for 35-40 minutes. Then leave to cool on a baking rack.

Tip: Stock up on high-quality spices – it pays off!
