Try this delicious cake recipe:
Place flour in a large enough bowl. Make a well in the center. Crumble in yeast, 1 tsp sugar and half of the lukewarm milk. Stir everything together to form a dampfl. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 15 minutes. Add half of the fat to the remaining lukewarm milk. Add the salt, egg, sugar to the dampfl form. Mix to a smooth dough. Let rise for approx. 30 min.
Peel, quarter, core and score apples lengthwise. Sprinkle with juice of one lemon. Knead yeast dough, roll out on a baking sheet. Cover with apples. Evenly spread almond flakes and remaining fat in flakes on top. Let rise again for 20 minutes. Bake in a heated oven (electric oven: 200 C°/ gas: level 3) for 40-50 minutes. Warm the apricot jam and spread it on the cake. Sprinkle with pistachios.
