Instructions:

Bring soup to a boil with thyme and bay leaf. Add the lentils and selkkaree and cook at low temperature for about 30 minutes. In the meantime, peel and dice the onion, clean and rinse the greens and cut them into strips. Add the onion and greens to the lentils and cook for another 30-35 minutes.

Take out the selchkaree and cut into cubes. Season soup with salt and pepper and, if desired, with vinegar or red wine. Add diced smoked pork repeatedly to soup.
