For the nougat plunder buns, melt the hazelnut nougat over steam. Mix with the hazelnut brandy.

Preheat the oven to approx. 180°C top-lower heat.

Roll out the puff pastry and spread with the warm nougat.

Allow to cool slightly until the nougat has firmed up again. Roll up on the long side and cut into slices of about 2-3 cm and place on a baking tray with some space between them.

Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with the pistachios. Bake the nougat plunder buns in the preheated oven for about 18-20 minutes.
