For the nut sticks, first knead the shortcrust pastry together. To do this, simply knead all the ingredients quickly. Form the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

In the meantime, preheat the oven to 170 °C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Roll out the dough thinly. Cut into even rectangles with a sharp knife. Place them on the baking tray and brush with egg yolk. Sprinkle hazelnuts on top. Place in the oven and bake for about 12 minutes. Remove and let cool.

Melt chocolate over a water bath. Dip both ends of the nut sticks into the melted chocolate and allow to dry thoroughly before serving.
