Pasta dishes are always a good idea!

Okonomiyaki is a mixture between pizza and pancakes, but is not sweet. “Okonomi” means “whatever they want.” This refers to the ingredients. Because, as with pizza, all kinds of ingredients can be used.

Take large, green, outer cabbage leaves without hard, white core and cut them into narrow strips (about 4mm).

Mix flour, water, eggs and the cut cabbage together.

You can add other ingredients to the dough (read the note under “General”): e.g. seafood cut into small pieces, chopped meat, chopped mushrooms, whatever you like.

Roast the dough, like a pancake in a, rather smaller pan.

Garnish ingredients (except Kazuobushi) before the first turning on the Okonomiyaki form, i.e. on the, still thick dough put / sprinkle. Possibly press something into the dough.

When fried on one side, flip to the other side, which can be a very tricky business.

When fried, sprinkle kazuobushi on top and possibly other shrimp ingredients you didn’t want to roast. Done. Serve and eat: Bring okonomiyaki to table on normal plate and serve with mayo and okonomiyaki sauce.

General: Okonomiyaki is also very delicious and popular without much garnish, but only with the green seaweed sprinkle seasoning and sauces. Or likewise the okonomiyaki to korea
