Remove the skin from the onions, halve them and cut them into thin slices. In a frying pan, in which the omelet is prepared in the same way, heat 2 tablespoons of oil, add the onions and cook until soft. If the onions are too dry, add 2 tablespoons of water. In a sufficiently large bowl, beat the 6 eggs, which have been seasoned with pepper & salt of choice, with a fork and add to the onions in the frying pan. When the omelet is half cooked, turn it to the other side with a plate and finish cooking.
