Instructions:

For the orange slices, beat butter and sugar until fluffy, add eggs orange zest and salt. Mix flour with baking powder and sift into the mixture. Stir in and add enough milk so that the dough falls from the spoon with difficulty tearing.

Bake the dough in a loaf pan at 180 °C for 50 minutes (test with a stick). Leave the cake to cool on a cooling rack. For the cream, soak the gelatin in cold water according to package instructions.

Heat the orange juice in a small saucepan but do not boil. Dissolve the well squeezed gelatine in the hot orange juice. Let cool slightly and mix with the low-fat quark.

Whip the whipped cream until stiff and fold into the slightly gelling quark mixture. Cut the cake in half lengthwise and place the cream on the bottom part.

Place the other part on top. Finally, finely slice half an orange, mix the powdered sugar with orange juice, brush on the cake and place the orange slices on top.

Now divide the cake into slices along the orange slices.
