For the original Tyrolean bacon dumplings, first mix dumpling bread with lukewarm milk and eggs. Leave to stand for 30 minutes.

Sauté the Tyrolean bacon cubes with chopped onions and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Let cool a bit and add to the dumpling bread.

Sprinkle flour on top and mix with chopped parsley to a not too wet mass.

Form small bacon dumplings from dumpling mixture.

Cook the dumplings in salted water for about 15 minutes.

Strain and serve the Original Tyrolean Bacon Dumplings in hot meat soup sprinkled with chives or simply use as a side dish.
