For the pasta salad, halve or quarter the tomatoes, depending on their size. Peel the cucumber, cut in half lengthwise and slice the halves not too thinly. Drain the corn.

Drain the mozzarella, cut lengthwise and slice the halves. Halve or quarter the olives, depending on their size.

Do not chop the basil too small. Put all the ingredients in a bowl, add salt, pepper, garlic and chili powder and olive oil and mix well.

Cook the pasta according to package directions, strain and add to the remaining ingredients in the bowl. Allow to cook for a bit (30-45 minutes) and serve with fresh ciabatta or baguette.
