Instructions:

Peel, core and cut the bean apples and pears into wedges. Put the fruit in a saucepan and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Add the raisins, Riesling and apple juice and simmer over medium heat for about eight minutes, then cool.

e.g. as an addition to “Rhenish game goulash”.

(*) The Rheinische Bohnapfel is an acidic cider apple, which must be sweetened as desired.
