Instructions:

For the farmer’s bread with ham, first prepare the bread dough. To do this, mix the baking mix with yeast and water according to package instructions and let rise.

After at least 40 minutes, briefly knead the dough repeatedly on a floured work surface and roll out into a 30 by 40 centimeter rectangle.

Sprinkle one-third of the grated cheese on the rectangle, but leave about 2 inches of border on all sides.

Place cooked ham on top of cheese, cover with grapes and half of remaining cheese. This time place raw ham on top of cheese and sprinkle with remaining cheese.

Fold the edges of the dough of the shorter side onto the filling and roll up the dough from the longer side, pressing it well together at the ends.

Place bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and cut the top of the loaf 8 inches by 3 inches deep, diagonally.

Cover bread with a tea towel and let rise repeatedly in a warm place until it has visibly increased in size.

In the meantime, preheat the oven to 200° C and bake the Farmer’s Bread with Ham on the lowest rack for 45 minutes.

After baking, remove the bread immediately from the tray and let it cool on a cooling rack.
