Try this delicious cake recipe:

Preheat kitchen oven to 190 degrees (gas mark 5). Mix butter and sugar. Fold in eggs and 2 tbsp flour. Fold in remaining flour, almond kernels and oil. Bake on a greased baking tray for 20 minutes. Cool. Heat apricot jam and juice of one lemon. Brush the bottom of the cake with it. Roll out marzipan and place it on the cake. Cut the cake into rhombs. For the icing, heat the fat, juice of one lemon and 60 ml water at low temperature. Add 250g of powdered sugar and bring to the boil. Remove from the heat, slowly fold in the remaining powdered sugar until smooth. Place petits fours on a wire rack and frost with the warm frosting. If there is not enough icing, scrape off any that has dripped onto the tray underneath and heat. Decorate.
