For the potato-pumpkin rösti with chive sauce, first peel the potatoes and pumpkin for the rösti. Now grate both into thin strips. Stir in the egg, garlic and spices. Finally, stir the flour into the mixture.

Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Shape a tablespoon of the mixture into a rösti and place it in the pan. Fry on both sides until golden brown, remove from the pan and drain on a kitchen towel.

For the sauce, mix sour cream and yogurt. Chop onion, garlic and chives and stir into sour cream and yogurt mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Serve the potato-pumpkin hash browns with chive sauce.
