Instructions:

Toast the bread until golden, drizzle with wine, place a slice of cheese and ham on each, sprinkle with paprika. Grease an ovenproof dish, fill in the bread diagonally one behind the other so that they partially cover each other. Mix egg yolks with cow’s milk and whipped cream, season with salt, grated nutmeg and a little pepper. Rinse cooled chives, dry with paper towel, chop and add to whipped cream-cow’s milk mixture. Whip egg whites until stiff and add to mixture. Pour the milk mixture over the bread in the pan. Bake in a heated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 1/2 hour.

Put the hot ramequin in the ovenproof dish on the table.

It can be served with lettuce or other fresh leaf salad.

Our tip: Always use fresh chives if possible!
