A great pasta dish for any occasion:

In a large saucepan, soften the lentils in the water for 15 min.

In the meantime, sauté the onions, garlic and cumin in olive oil and make the noodles ‘al dente’.

Season the cooked lentils with pepper, salt and soy sauce and add the fried onions, gently toss together for a few min. Add the drained noodles and olives and mix well. If desired, bring to the table with grated cheese.
