Instructions:

For the sauerkraut chocolate tart, place the sauerkraut in a colander and rinse well (2 – 3 times). Squeeze firmly and chop finely.

Cream butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs and salt. Sift the flour with the baking powder and cocoa and stir into the egg mixture alternately with the water. Fold the finely chopped sauerkraut into the mixture.

Pour the batter into a greased springform pan and bake at about 160 degrees for about an hour (test with wooden skewers).

For the glaze, melt the chocolate with the butter – either in a bain-marie or directly in a pot on the stove, as is easier. Stir in the sour cream and the powdered sugar. Glaze the cooled sauerkraut chocolate cake with it.
