A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Beat sugar, vanilla sugar and butter until thick and creamy, add juice of one lemon and salt. Add the eggs a little at a time. Combine semolina, flour and baking powder and mix gently. Pour half of the dough into a greased springform pan.

For the filling, peel, halve and core apples, cut into wedges, mix with the brittle and spread evenly on the dough. Cover with the remaining dough and bake in a heated oven at 170 degrees for 60-70 minutes.

Serve with cinnamon whipped cream to taste.
