Simple Strawberry Cake

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 200 °C and grease and crumble a loaf pan (2 l capacity).

Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff. Beat the butter until thick and creamy. Gradually stir in sugar, add egg yolks and beat mixture well. Sift flour and baking powder over the top and stir in with a spoon. Stir in the snow. Stir in strawberry puree very coarsely. The batter should not be mixed through, but a strong marbling should remain visible.

Pour batter into loaf pan and smooth out. Bake in oven for about 50 minutes (test with chopsticks).

Remove from the pan and let the cake cool on a rack.
