Spicy food is eaten mainly in the hot southeast of Turkey, but kebap, named after the largest city in this region, is popular throughout the country. It tastes best from a charcoal grill. Classification: Easy to prepare – For guests. Preparation time: 1 hour.

1. put the minced meat in a large enough bowl. Remove the peel from the onion and add it. Add salt, enough pepper, the cumin, the paprika powder and the pul biber and knead the whole thing thoroughly.

Rinse the tomatoes and cut them in half, remove the stalks. Only rinse the peppers.

Divide the meat into 2 parts per unit and form narrow meat loaves 12-15 cm long around the metal skewers. Cut the pita bread into strips. Melt the butter and brush the bread strips with it. 5.

Lightly brush the grill grate with the oil and grill the kebabs for 5-8 minutes on each side. Grill the whole peppers and tomato halves on the edge of the grill. Warm the bread strips on the outer edge of the grill.

Rinse the parsley and shake dry. Garnish a shallow plate on the edge of each unit with 1/2 bunch of herbs. Divide the warm bread strips evenly among the plates and arrange the meat and grilled vegetables on top.

Served. If you don’t have a broiler, toast the kebab in a large roasting pan and warm the pita bread in the oven.
