A cake recipe for all foodies:

1. line a baking tray with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 200 °C.

Sift flour. Beat eggs with salt, sugar, vanilla sugar and grated lemon peel over steam until creamy (the amount should increase significantly in volume). Remove quantity from steam and continue beating until cooled.

Spread the mixture on the baking sheet using a pastry card or palette and bake in the oven (middle rack) for 10-12 minutes until light.

Sprinkle a piece of parchment paper with granulated sugar. Turn the sponge out onto it and cool. Gently peel off any paper that has been baked along with the sponge. Stir the jam until smooth and spread it on the sponge. Roll the sponge tightly with the paper and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
