Instructions:

For the sweet and spicy bell pepper jam, cut the peppers into pieces. Cover and simmer with salt, chili and water over moderate heat until soft.

Strain (to remove the skin residue) and bring to the boil again with the sugar.

Simmer, stirring frequently, until the jam is thickened (takes 10-14 minutes).
