Instructions:

Peel the onions, garlic, cut into cubes and fry in hot oil until translucent.

Drain the beans and put them in an ovenproof dish with a tight-fitting lid. Mix with onion, garlic mixture as well as tomato juice, mustard, beer, chili seasoning with a good 1 spoonful of sugar with the paprika powder. Season with Worcestershire sauce and salt.

Spread the bacon, cut into thin slices, evenly over the beans and place the dish on the middle shelf with the lid closed in the oven heated to 150 °C (gas: level 1). Bake the beans for 2 hours.

Remove the lid 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time so that the bacon can crisp up.

Serve with a nice steak and a good cold beer.
