For the toast cordon bleu, cut bread slices in half horizontally. But only cut deep enough so that the slices are cut in half, but not separated.

Place two slices of ham and cheese between each slice. Cut pineapple into quarters and place in as well. Whisk eggs and milk together, add salt and pepper.

Press bread together and pull through egg mixture. Heat butter and bake toast cordon bleu in it until golden brown on both sides.
