For the Tyrolean cabbage salad, cut the cabbage into fine strips or alternatively use a cabbage slicer.

Salt well in a bowl and knead vigorously with both hands until soft and juicy. Now season with caraway seeds and pepper.

Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry in a little oil in a pan until crispy. Then remove from the heat and deglaze with the vinegar.

Pour the hot bacon vinegar sauce over the cabbage and mix thoroughly. Your Tyrolean cabbage salad is ready!
