For the vanilla crescents, knead flour, sugar, chopped butter and hazelnuts into a dough. Let rest in the refrigerator for approx. 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 175 °C. Roll the dough to form a tube. Cut slices from it and form croissants by hand.

Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for about 15 minutes until the croissants are golden.

Meanwhile, mix the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar well and roll the still hot vanilla crescents in it.
