Instructions:

Stir milk and cornstarch in a saucepan over low heat until cornstarch is dissolved. Stir in the remaining ingredients except the vanilla. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously, for 5 min until sauce thickens. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cover with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming and cool completely.
