Instructions:

For the water sparrows prepare a tough time from flour, eggs, water, salt and pepper and let it rest for an hour. Cut out dumplings with a tablespoon and let them steep in boiling salted water until they float to the top. Take them out and let them drain.

Heat the fat in a pan, fry the breadcrumbs in it until golden brown and mix into the water sparrows.
