Wholemeal Buns with Chocolate Marillas and Vanilla Sauce

Instructions:

For the whole wheat cakes, mix all the ingredients for the dough and knead for 7 minutes with the food processor until it comes off the pan.

If necessary, add a little more milk. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume.

Knead again, roll out on an oiled work surface to a thickness of 5 mm and cut into 18 squares. Put 4 tablespoons of oil in a soup plate.

Cut apricots in half and replace seeds with chocolate pieces of the same size. Cover each fruit with a square of dough.

Press edges together well, shape into a ball, roll in oil and place close together in a springform pan (22 cm).

Cover and let rise for 20-25 minutes. Preheat oven to 180 degrees top and bottom heat. Bake the Buchteln for about 30 minutes until golden brown.

Remove and sprinkle with powdered sugar while still hot. Prepare vanilla pudding according to package instructions, but with more milk.

Serve the wholemeal buns with hot vanilla sauce as a sweet main course.
